This course focuses on the basics of genetics. You learn who discovered genetics, what forms of inheritance there are and you learn to calculate with genes. Just as Mendell and Punett made it possible for you!

Content
The course has a total of 20 lessons, 5 quizzes and 1 exam. The exam is only to test your own knowledge, you will receive a certificate of participation after completing the course regardless of the result. You can continue to take the exam without restrictions to improve your knowledge. All course material remains available even after the exam has been completed, so you can always find it again. After all, that's what you pay for!
What is genetics?
This is the first chapter of the course. In this chapter you will learn all about the basics of genetics and the importance of family trees.
Mendell's theory
In the second chapter, you learn about Mendell, the person who discovered genetics by growing beans.
Modern forms of inheritance
The third chapter explains that in addition to Mendell's theory, there are other forms of inheritance.
Punett's Square
Punett invented how to calculate with genetics. In chapter four you will learn how to use his method and when to apply it.
African pygmy hedgehog colors
Because White-bellied hedgehogs are the most popular in captivity, Chapter Five teaches you the colors and genes of this species, as well as how to use this information to make genetic calculations using Punett's square.
Exam
After chapter five you take the exam. You have now learned all about genetics and how to apply it in practice.
